  • When my eldest son started having trouble with dry, irritated, burning eyes I decided to try GenTeal Lubricant Eye Drops with him instead of the Refresh drops I myself use
  • However, the added cost is well worth the peace of mind knowing that my son’s eyes don’t hurt and he is actually using a product that works for him
  • Since he’s eleven and will probably have dry eye issues all his life I think it’s awesome that there is a product out there that works so well for him
  • Ease of use was very important, and I love how simply and easily the drops fall out in a precise measurement from the bottle

I have Sjogren’s syndrome, and have always had trouble with dry eyes. When my eldest son started having trouble with dry, irritated, burning eyes I decided to try GenTeal Lubricant Eye Drops with him instead of the Refresh drops I myself use. The ophthalmologist recommended GenTeal Gel Drops because they are longer lasting and she was afraid my son wouldn’t be very compliant. She was right.

The GenTeal Lubricant Eye Drops don’t look like a gel. In fact, they are clear just like any other eye drop, but it’s the hypromellose and carbomethylcellulose combination formula that keep them thicker and longer lasting. Where I had to struggle

with my son to get his allergy eye drops in and then additional drops for wetting, GenTeal alleviated some of that trouble for me.

The GenTeal Gel Drops fall easily from the bottle, you don’t even have to squeeze, just turn it upside down. This means that my son can put them in himself. The ophthalmologist taught him how to close his eyes gently, and drop the GenTeal Lubricant Eye drops into the corner of his eye near his nose. Then he just blinks and the eye drops are sticky enough that the drops essentially blink into his eyes and wet them. He does have to use ...

      • the drops twice daily, but he is getting them in and his eyes improved in just over three days.

Now, my son uses the GenTeal Lubricant Eye Drops daily when he first gets out of bed before brushing his teeth, and when he goes to bed before brushing his teeth. He made the easy to use GenTeal eye drops part of his routine and I no longer have to struggle with him. After about a week he stopped rubbing and further irritating his eyes all together.

The GenTeal Lubricant eye drops run about $9.00 at most pharmacies and grocery stores around here, so they are a bit

pricier than others. However, the added cost is well worth the peace of mind knowing that my son’s eyes don’t hurt and he is actually using a product that works for him. Since he’s eleven and will probably have dry eye issues all his life I think it’s awesome that there is a product out there that works so well for him. Ease of use was very important, and I love how simply and easily the drops fall out in a precise measurement from the bottle. That was the biggest selling point of the GenTeal Lubricant Eye Drops for us. You just can’t beat something that works for your situation.
