  • The headset is of a very bad quality when you speak down it, it's wireless, come to think of it, it's basically a bluetooth headset that allows you to speak to people around the world, also it's very hard to understand what anyone is talking about, and 99% of the time, no-one even has a headset because it's just that bad, the server feels boring, it's as though Sony placed bots to just walk around while I kill them as though I'm the only Playstation 3 network player in the whole world

Now, I have already talked about Xbox Live’s services, and it would only be fair to review Playstation 3’s online services also, so here it is.

Online for PS started back when the PS2 was released somewhere around November 2002. Sony made it look like a “cool kids do this” kind of approach, with the advert showing a man with a serious face and spikey hair, it really didn’t appeal to me, also it wasn’t very popular, and when I say that I mean not popular at all, I didn’t even know the PS2 had an online feature, it was most defiantly

shunned down due to the on going success of Xbox Live.

Now that the PS3 has been released what have they done to change it? Honestly I can’t see a difference, the way they advertise their online feature is by saying this “Awesome games, PlayStation┬« Trophies, online gaming, and much, much more. Next generation gaming, right now.” It sounds like they just asked a Fanboy to write that, “online gaming” well of course it’s going to have online gaming, it’s ONLINE!

Anyway, let’s go through the features. This time around you must create an account to access online. They now have their own ...

      • Playstation Store. (That took them some time to think up.) Now, Playstation Store, “oh goodie” I said, I clicked to download an expansion for a game and.. oh oh.. Sony what have you done? You must use a credit card, why can’t you just buy points from a Game store like Microsoft did?

That’s enough critising, you don’t get a headset with the PS3 so you must go exploring to find one, trust me, it’s harder than you think, everywhere you go you only see Wii remotes or Xbox 360 accesories. The headset is of a very bad quality when you

speak down it, it’s wireless, come to think of it, it’s basically a bluetooth headset that allows you to speak to people around the world, also it’s very hard to understand what anyone is talking about, and 99% of the time, no-one even has a headset because it’s just that bad, the server feels boring, it’s as though Sony placed bots to just walk around while I kill them as though I’m the only Playstation 3 network player in the whole world!

The Playstation 3 might have a better advantage when it comes to Blu-ray, but online, you don’t want to go their…

Actually you are wrong. You sound like more of a Microsoft fanboy than an honest gamer. Well let`s get down to the truth shall we? First off the PSN PlaystationNetwork runs very smoothly except for the occasional sign out. PSN is a free service, you forgot to mention that even though XBL XboxLive is only 50 a month which isn`t bad. PSN and XBL are solid competitors now adays yet you make it seem like it was years ago in the last gen. of game systems when XBL was better. When you talk about the PS store you make it seem as though it took ages for there to be one. Wrong. The PS store has been around for quite a while. You don`t need to use a credit card to purchase from the PS store. PSN cards are sold at many major retailers around the globe, with various amounts of money on them. Now onto headsets. The PS3 uses bluetooth technology, so you can use almost any Bluetooth headset with it, even better than the 360. Did Microsoft pay YOU to distribute their biased propoganda bulls t? I`m just trying to inform others of this person`s crap. Don t listen to him research this stuff.

The console war for this generation of gaming systems is dead, if you want something to fight about, fight about the PS4 and the Xbox One. As for these two systems, I own both, both perform admirably, and I use them intermittently. Buy a console mostly for the exclusive games, not the ever ongoing`hardware war’.
