      Ann Marie’s residual check is much more than she expected, and she considers it to be a windfall. Her problem becomes how to spend the money because she doesn’t just want to bank it. To celebrate, she invites her boyfriend and her

      parents over for dinner. The three of them manage to burst her bubble somewhat, though, when all three have different ideas about how she should spend the money.

      What I love is that ultimately, Donald suggests she do what she wants with the money, and eventually, that’s what she does, only she does it in such a way that everyone is happy.

      There are some good supporting cast players in Decision Before Dawn, most notably Larry Storch as John MacKenzie, a rather eccentric seller of beds. The character ...

      is very over the top, and he certainly has a unique way of trying to make a sell. Vic Tayback and Woodrow Parfrey also contribute to the fun.

      The sweetest moment for me is when Don plays the piano and Ann sings. It’s

      just a nice moment, and then it leads to a funny one when Don sings. Both Marlo Thomas and Ted Bessell sing well enough to be the average couple having a moment together. It works, and it makes this show a hit.
