  • Thus I was still a bit young at the time, and I only saw a part of the movie because I thought it was one of the scariest horror films I had ever seen
  • I didn't think that it was a terrible movie at the time, but I thought that the plot was certainly different from many other horror movies I had seen as well as, even though it wasn't terrifying it still was interesting
  • One of the things which I think made the movie scary was the dark atmosphere which I think fit very well with the plot
  • I would recommend this movie to fans of horror films who loved films such as End of Days, Passion of the Christ and Antichrist

I first saw the horror movie “Stigmata” a little after I got cable television which would have been in about te year 2001 or 2002. Thus I was still a bit young at the time, and I only saw a part of the movie because I thought it was one of the scariest horror films I had ever seen. It had come right after a horror movie starring the actor Kevin

Bacon, and I’m not sure if it was because of that or because I had seen it in the late night, but it scared me so much I couldn’t stop thinking about it for years. However, when I watched it again a couple years ago, my views on it changed a bit. I didn’t think that it was a terrible movie at the time, but I thought that the plot was ...

      • certainly different from many other horror movies I had seen as well as, even though it wasn’t terrifying it still was interesting.

The movie was about an atheist hairdresser who develops the stigmata, and soon finds herself and a former priest on the run because of a conspiracy in the Catholic church. One of the things which I think made the movie scary was the dark atmosphere which I think fit very

well with the plot.I also loved how the bible verses were incorporated into the movie to give it a more mysterious feeling.

I would recommend this movie to fans of horror films who loved films such as End of Days, Passion of the Christ and Antichrist. Even though I no longer think that the movie was scary, I feel that it is indeed quite chilling and should give horror movie audiences their money’s worth.
