Mac mail is the email program available for Macs. Similar to Microsoft Outlook it is how you would check your email on a Mac without going to a web site.

I absolutely hate this program.

I have always used web based email clients like yahoo and hotmail until recently when I started working for a company that wanted me to use a secure mail server on my desktop.

I went through the directions and tried to set up my mail through Mac mail and had an absolutely horrible time doing it.

I tried maybe six or seven different times and still was unable to get the mail system set up properly.

If you have a Mac and want to check your email I highly recommend just using a web based email server rather than try to use Mac mail, it is a huge pain in the butt.
