The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer is a sweet movie that won the Academy Award for Best Writing, Original Screenplay by Sidney Sheldon. The man is a phenomenal writer, and it obviously showed in this motion picture. It’s full of charm and wit.

The phenomenal Shirley Temple plays a teenager who becomes

smitten by Cary Grant. Their scenes together are way too cute. I love Temple. She’s always been enjoyable and fun to watch. I realize some had a hard time adjusting to her going from that curly top little girl to a pretty young teenager to a woman, but I ...

      • never did. She still has that smile that makes you smile, and she could act, regardless of her age.

Temple’s older sister in the film is played by the always wonderful Myrna Loy. She’s a judge who ends up ruling on a case that also involves Grant. In the process,

she makes an unlikely ruling, which in turn leads to romance.

The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer is full of good scenes. As I said, my favorites include Grant and Temple, especially one at a picnic that is pretty funny.

The supporting cast is very good, and this movie is a fun time for all.
