With the Parent Trap III movie bringing in good ratings for the Walt Disney company, another movie was done the same year called Parent Trap: Hawaiian Honeymoon. With Susan now married to Jeffrey Wyatt, the family travels together to Hawaii for the honeymoon. Strange, odd even, but that’s the story.

      The best part about

the whole thing is the amazing Hayley Mills, who is delightful to watch at any age. She’s kept the spirit of the young Sharon and Susan who met at camp decades earlier going. She’s worth watching, whether or not the movie itself is worth anything. In fact, she’s the real reason for ...

      • watching at all.

Barry Bostwick and the Creel triplets — Joy, Leanna, and Monica — all return from The Parent Trap III. Bostwick is a decent actor and he did okay opposite Mills. The triplets are amusing, but I’m not all that drawn to them.

The reason for the Hawaii trip in reality is that

they’ve inherited a resort. When they get there, it’s not exactly what they’d envisioned. Ultimately, their visit leads to a surprising future for the new family.

This Disney outing is fun, and I enjoyed it. It’s not the wonder of the 1961 movie, but it’s still entertaining enough and makes for decent family watching.
