  • Truthfully, I think it is a matter of aesthetic, and does not do much to change gameplay
  • As such, I recommend that anyone with a lower-end system to try elsewhere
  • As such, PKR has, in my experience, become a haven for players who normally play slots, blackjack, etc. because of its flashiness

PKR Poker is distinguished from its competition in Cake and iPoker by having completely independently-made software. This software isn’t like other sites with independent software in simply being different; PKR poker represents a radical departure from the norm in being completely in 3D. Is this good for the player? Truthfully, I think it is a matter of aesthetic, and does not do much to change gameplay.

PKR Poker has fully-rendered 3D players instead of simply avatars to represent your opposition while playing. To some, this represents a revolution, to me, it is simply an

aesthetic; I don’t particularly think visuals are important in playing poker: as long as the software runs stably, who cares how ugly it is? PKR Poker is quite a bit more demanding than most other games in terms of how taxing it is on a computer’s resources. As such, I recommend that anyone with a lower-end system to try elsewhere; there are many other websites with far less-demanding software which are also better sites for other reasons as well.

Being a site based out of the United Kingdom, players from the United States are ...

      • banned from playing on PKR Poker, and players from countries outside of Europe have to deal with the fact that traffic during their own ideal gaming times will be a lot lower than they would probably prefer.

The competition is quite soft, and I think that many poor players are drawn in by the 3D graphics. As such, PKR has, in my experience, become a haven for players who normally play slots, blackjack, etc. because of its flashiness. As such, I think it would be a rewarding experience for any good player to

shark the tables at PKR Poker.

The support staff is quite good, and I never had any problems with them. The rake, like many other independent poker websites, is much higher than sites on the iPoker or Cake poker networks, thus meaning that although a good, skilled player can do well on PKR Poker, they will wind up paying the company much more to simply play on their site.

All in all, PKR Poker is a fairly rewarding experience, but its innovation is a farce: it’s not nearly as revolutionary as simply flashy. Avoid, unless you’re really bored!
