Diablo II is a role playing game (rpg) that was released for the pc back in 2003. I think most serious rpg players have had at least one Diablo II ‘phase’ where you level your player non-stop and play until you get bored. This game has an incredible addiction factor.

In Diablo II you can choose from 7 different characters to be, which is nice and adds a certain level to customization to the game. It works like your classic rpg. Kill monsters, do quests, level up, unlock new abilities, weapons, and towns. It is very addicting because there are a large amount of weapons, armor, and skills to unlock, so you are always waiting on that next level where you will be able to use the next weapon you have in stock or unlock that fantastic new magical ability. It is surprisingly fun and exciting to finally unlock that new spell you’ve

been waiting on, and then to just unleash it on a group of enemies.

The level of customization in your players is pretty good too, but what is a pain is the fact that they look the same no matter what, you cant change their appearance to start, which is kind of a drag but by adding armor and new weapons to your character you are able make them unique.

The way the combat/movement works in this game is pretty simple. You just click where ever you would like your character to move, click on items to pick them up, and enemies to attack them. It is a pretty mouse oriented game. Right clicking will be used to use your special abilities of your character only. But the keyboard will have its uses to as you will find yourself, as you advance in the game, needing to hot key certain spells or moves to have ...

      • easier access.

The online play in this game is something that you really have to do. You are able to work with a team of other players to complete the missions, and at the same time able to trade with them for items you may find that only their character may use, and for items they may find that only you can use. This is useful because not only is combat easier because you have a team of players, but because you are able to make eachother better with weapons you happen to find upon slaying monsters. It is also easier with a team because different characters complement eachother. For example, a sorceress can cast a freeze spell to slow the enemies while the other characters beat up on the vulnerable and slower enemies.

The game is also pretty lengthy and has extreme replay value. First of all, after completing the game the first

time, ‘nightmare’ mode is available where you play the whole game through again, but with the same character, and all enemies are ridiculously harder. After that ‘hell’ mode is available which is the same concept. You also keep unlocking new weapons as you level so you always want to be able to use those as well.

Collecting items actually turns out to be a huge part of this game as well. There are sets of items in this game, which are certain items that are boosted and become better if worn together, so you are always working to either find a set to wear, or to trade with another player who has pieces in your set that you are looking for.

In the end this game is pretty great, and if you haven’t played it before I’d suggest you get started, and to play with your character online, as that maximizes your experience.
