I am reviewing the movie, Judgement Day, starring John Nettles and Daniel Casey as the policemen duo of DCI Tom Barnaby and DS Gavin Troy. This film was made in 2000, was produced by Brian-True-May, and was based off the novel written by author Caroline Graham. In Judgement Day, there is a competition going on in the village for the

respectable title of being a perfect village.

There are many villages around the area also in competition. Joyce Barnaby happens to be a judge of the event.

While the judges meet together and discuss business, Gavin and Barnaby are off investigating a series of break-ins in the village. It isn’t long before a murder takes place, and Barnaby and Troy are on the hunt.

Like many murders they’ve come across, this one seems to have an endless trail of suspects. As the pair investigate, people in the village become concerned about their chances now of winning “perfect village” award.

I thought this film was pretty good. I always enjoy the films where more time is spent with Tom and Troy and Tom’s ...

      family members.

It was a treat to have Joyce play a big role in this episode, as there aren’t many instances where she is involved fully in an episode. I thought John Nettles and Daniel Casey did an extraordinary job of acting, as they always do.

You really can’t tell that these two are acting, and it becomes hard to really

remember that these are television shows and not real life. The actors are that good! This film has a very interesting and complex plot, and will leave you guessing up until the very end.

I recommend it to everyone, especially DCI Barnaby and Troy fans. It’s not one of my favorites, but it still is very good, so be sure to check it out.
