  • It's challenging and addicting, definitely worth a dollar
  • However, in its current state, Sparta still is a full game that you can get entertainment out of, and I'd recommend it any day, because I always like to see indie devs succeed and I honestly believe spending a dollar now will be well worth it once those updates come out

Sparta from Pocket Monkey Games is a highly addictive pick up and play game that shows major potential, but isn’t quite there yet. The gameplay now reminds me of the popular iPhone game Zombieville USA, but is less polished, which therefore may make the consumer not know which game to choose. I am telling you now to choose Sparta.

The promised updates from the developer are on their way, and will add huge amounts of content to the game, making it a clear winner over Zombieville. In the long run, this will give you more bang for

your buck then most other games in the app store.

The soundtrack to the game fits in really well with the Spartan theme. The graphics are kind of cartoony, but are well designed making the game visually appealing. The game itself is a survival game, making the user see how many bandits, Persians or other enemies he or she can kill before you die. It’s challenging and addicting, definitely worth a dollar. You’ll get more entertainment out of this game then a ninety-nine cent burger or song, trust me.

Though the game is lacking much content now, there ...

      • will be more of a plot as well as RPG elements thrown into the mix once the updates come out. The game will go up in price as it gets better and better, so support an indie dev and get this before there’s a price raise.

There’s not a whole lot to explain about this game, since it is so simple right now. Basically you just walk around killing enemies until you die yourself. It’s addicting to see how many enemies you can kill before you die, making the game nice for a short break. It can

get a little old after a while though, but the updates coming will make Sparta ten times better.

I won’t lie to you, buying this will be kind of an investment, since there’s not a whole lot right now, but there’s fun promised on the horizon. However, in its current state, Sparta still is a full game that you can get entertainment out of, and I’d recommend it any day, because I always like to see indie devs succeed and I honestly believe spending a dollar now will be well worth it once those updates come out.
