I am reviewing the murder mystery film, Dead Man’s Eleven, starring John Nettles and Daniel Casey as Chief Inspector Tom Barnaby and Detective Sergeant Gavin Troy. This movie was made in 1999, was produced by Brian True May, and was based off of the novels of author Caroline Graham.
In this movie, Tom and his wife are debating on moving to a new house. Tom isn’t that thrilled about the idea, but ever the good husband, he humors his wife and allows her
to show him to a new home she has in mind. While they’re in the area, a cricket match is going on on the property. It isn’t long before a murder takes place, seeming to follow poor Mr. Barnaby everywhere he goes.
The murder takes place in the form of a young woman, who is beaten to death with a cricket stick. She is the wife of the captain of a cricket ball team, who is disliked by everyone, including his own son.
