  • Max and Gerald knew each other when they were young men, and used to be the best of friends
  • A lot of these movies, I think, focus too much on the players or extras on the film, and pay little attention to the two main stars
  • This movie is very interesting and kept my attention throughout
  • So, I highly recommend this film to those mystery lovers out there, and especially those who are Tom Barnaby fans

I am reviewing the murder mystery movie, Written in Blood, starring John Nettles and Daniel Casey. This movie was made in 1997, was produced by Brian True-May and Betty Willingale, and is based on the novel series written by Caroline Graham. Gerald Hadleigh is a secretary of a highly prestigious writer’s club.

He has meetings with several members each week, and they discuss books and writing. But then old

rivalries stir up with Max Jennings, a writer, means to come to one of those meetings.

Max and Gerald knew each other when they were young men, and used to be the best of friends. This is not the case anymore.

Something happened between the two that has caused them to be rivals, and so Gerald is far from looking forward to having Max in his home. novelist Max Jennings ...

      • to attend one of their meetings.

After the meeting, a murder takes place, and then another. Troy and Barnaby have their hands full with this double murder mystery.

I thought this movie was pretty good. I am a fan of the Tom Barnaby murder mysteries, but there were times when this one was a little dry.

A lot of these movies, I think, focus too much on the “players”

or extras on the film, and pay little attention to the two main stars. I want more running time with the main stars.

This movie is better than most of the movies, and the murder mystery is indeed a puzzle. This movie is very interesting and kept my attention throughout.

So, I highly recommend this film to those mystery lovers out there, and especially those who are Tom Barnaby fans.
