Well, they managed to resurrect Freddy Krueger – the directors and producers have to, else they could not continue to make money from this horror legend.

From the previous movie, the remaining dream warriors, Kristen, Kincaid and Joey slept well, believing that Freddy has been banished to hell forever. Then Kincaid ‘s dog did Freddy a favor by urinating on his grave, and resurrected

him. The first thing Freddy did was to kill the 3 warriors, and he did.

However before she died, Kristen had talked to Alice, the sister of her boyfriend, Rick. Alice is a quiet daydreamer living with her brother and dad. Kristen got Alice into her dreams, and introduced her to the horror of nightmares, Freddy, before she died. After that, Rick died as well.

With each death, Alice seemed to gain a bit of the ...

      • deceased personality, and transformed from the former mousy girl to a more confident woman. She prepared to face Freddy, and the battle began.

The interesting scenes all happened during the first half hour, when the three warriors died rather dramatically - in a car junkyard, a waterbed and a bed on fire. After that, it is rather mediocre. In fact, it seemed a bit too easy to get rid of Freddy this time. Freddy died

from seeing his image in a mirror. And of course, Freddy doesn’t die – he most probably hibernates to rise again, stronger than ever in the next movie. There was one scene that remains in my mind - when Rick rose from his coffin (only Alice saw him in her mind), his mannerisms and actions reminded me very much of Jim Carey. Anyway, it is still fun watching to see whatever new tricks the producer / director/scriptwriter had got Freddy to do.
