The Fugitive: The Cage is not a big favorite of mine. Richard Kimball is in a tiny fish town working when there’s a case of the plague. Risking the wrath of his employer and facing re-capture, he can’t walk away from what he knows to be deadly, so he calls the case into the local health concerns. Instantly, the area is quarantined for five days.

      Brenda Scott is the

main guest star, playing the seductive Carla, who has a boyfriend named Miguel (Richard Evans). Naturally, she has a big case of the affections for Kimball, who tries to rebuff her. Scorned, she does what any nasty vixen does and tells her boyfriend that Kimball attacked her. This causes her father to contact the local cops, who find out rather easily that Kimball is Kimball and not the ...

      • guy he’s claimed to be while working in town. Now Carla becomes overwrought trying to get everyone to believe she was lying. Oh the tangled web she weaved.

Personally, I found Scott to be very boring and predictable. I really didn’t care squat about her. I did like watching Tim O’Connor as the local doctor tending to the patients. When he discovers the truth about Kimball, he

gets very psychoanalytical, and that’s pretty fun to watch.

The one unexplained and big gap in this story is that after Carla lies to Miguel, who promises revenge, we never see him again. He’s just gone. Even in the epilog when Kimball leaves, Miguel isn’t around. There just feels like there should have been something, if only a mention.

The Fugitive: The Cage is an episode I usually pass on.
