      Rock Hudson teamed up with DorisDay for Send Me No Flowers, which was a smash hit in 1964. The couple are married in this film outing, playing George and Judy. The problem is that dear old George is a devout hypochondriac.

      If there’s a disease out there, he’s sure that he has it. During one of his visits with his doctor, he becomes certain that he’s about to die. This gives him a new mission: to find a new husband for Judy.

      With best friend Arnold (Tony Randall) at his side, the two evaluate every man they can think of. Of course, no one is really good enough for Judy, making the process very long and involved. Then Clint Walker comes along playing ...

      Bert, an old flame of Judy’s. He fits the bill, but George’s jealousy interferes.

      Send Me No Flowers is full of fun. Hudson mourns his death prematurely, and Day wonders what the heck is going on. Randall is stuck in the

      middle and does so with great finesse. The funny moments are many, and there’s romance, too.

      This was the third time that Hudson and Day starred together in film, and sadly, it was the last time, too. They went out on top.
