I received the Summer Infant Newborn-to-Toddler Fold Away Baby Bath as a gift for my Baby Shower. Assembling the product for the very first time was simple to where it did not really require instructions. I really liked the ease of putting it together.

The first time that I used the baby bath with my newborn, I found that it was not as easy as I thought it would be. One side of the bath can be set

to elevate for the purpose of supporting the head of a baby that cannot sit up on their own yet. While I did have one end of the tub elevated, it did support my newborn’s head as well as it advertised. In fact, my newborn kept sliding all over the place. The bath tub was extremely slippery, which is the last thing that I wanted for my little one. The only way that I could successfully ...

      • bathe my newborn was by cupping the back of her head with one hand and washing her with the other. Needless to say, it was a complete pain.

When my daughter got a little older, however, I started to really enjoy the tub. When she reached 3 months old, she was long enough to reach the base of the tub, preventing her from slipping around. When she was able to sit up on her own, she really enjoyed

the tub as we could lay both sides of the tub flat so that she had plenty of room to sit and play with her toys.

While this product was not very easy to use the first few months of my daughter’s life, it really proved to work well once my daughter grew into it. I definitely do not believe that this product is appropriate for a newborn, but I believe it works very well for a 3-12 month old baby.
