Storybook Land is an amusement park designed for young children. I’ve been taking my kids there for the past couple of years and they love it. The theme is fairytales with rides and structures/animatronics that relate to all sorts of classic fairy tales from Hickory Dickory Doc, to Alice in Wonderland.

The park is exceptionally clean. What I love about the park is that it’s not too big and so it’s easy to get through the entire place in one visit with small children. The rides are all geared toward

young kids although some will need an adult to ride along too. Some of the ride highlights are the Merry Go Round, Bubbles the roller coaster which is a dragon shaped coaster with hills and some sharp turns, but no loops, the Alice in Wonderland maze and, during the summer, an area where water shoots up from spouts in the ground.

There is a nice picnic area to have lunch with lockers available. They do have a restaurant to eat at, but I have not eaten there. I prefer the ...

      • picnic environment. The prices for the food are available on their website.

Tickets are 20.95 (Children 12 months and under are free). Before the season starts each year, they have a discount ticket rate, buy 3 get one free. You can also buy season passes at 83.95. There is no parking fee.

Another thing I really like about this park is that the lines have never been that long when I’ve gone. Occasionally we’ve had to wait maybe up to ten minutes in a line, but that’s been rare and

for the busiest rides, like Bubbles. For the most part, lines go quickly which is very important when waiting with toddlers and young kids. Not so great is that you have to exit through the gift shop, so if you’re not prepared to spend, make sure to get your kids focused on leaving and not lingering around in the gift shop.

If you’re visiting the Shore this summer, this is a wonderful place to go. I would recommend it over Wildwoods for kids 1-6. For more information, visit the website:
