Door to Door tells the true story of Bill Porter, who suffers from cerebral palsy and strives to make a living for himself. It’s a poignant story, one that touches on your heartstrings as you watch Porter’s story, as he battles the obstacles to survive in a sometimes not-very-understanding society.

William H. Macy delivers an outstanding performance as the amicable Porter, and he’s surrounded by others who make this a quality picture.

Kyra Sedgwick, Kathy Baker, and Helen Mirren have wonderful roles in the story. Mirren plays Porter’s mother, who does her best to take care of her son. It’s when ...

      • the tide turns that the story takes on even more character.

One of my favorite actors, Michael Shanks, has a minor role, and he does great, too. He looks good in graduating red.

The film is an inspiration and shows what you can do, if you just keep on trying.

Many other honors were given to this film by other industry award groups. That just shows how good and inspiring Door to Door is.
