Aaliyah “4 Page Letter” One In A Million Blackground/Atlantic Director: Daniel Pearl

Aaliyah’s brother, Rashad, came up with the concept behind the video for this song, “4 Page Letter”. The video takes place deep within a forest-type setting where Aaliyah is first seen observing a male dancer in the middle of the

forest. Next thing you know, she ends up in a Native American Village full of dancers. The video alternates between modern time where a group of observers watch the natives dance outside and past time where Aaliyah and one of the natives dance within the center of a large ring of ...

      • fire.

The whole native jungle/forest setting is quite a unique departure from her past videos. However, I just couldn’t help the whole time while watching it, just thinking about when a bunch of ewoks from “Star Wars” are going to pop up out of nowhere in the video, or better yet, Kevin

Costner’s character from “Dances With Wolves”. Sounds crazy? Watch the video if you don’t believe me.

This is Aaliyah’s fourth single (third in North America) from Aaliyah’s second album, “One In A Million”, following “If Your Girl Only Knew”, “Got To Give It Up”, and “One In A Million”. Although, for some reason, this one didn’t do too well.
