Aaliyah “One In A Million” One In A Million Blackground/Atlantic Director: Paul Hunter

Aaliyah jumps out with her third video and single from “One In A Million” titled none other than “One In A Million”, the album’s title track itself, following the same trend from her first and previous album. Here she is accompanied by the likes of director Paul Hunter for which this marks his very first directorial debut as a music video director.

Aaliyah is lying on top of a

black car where Timbaland and Missy Elliot sit inside, looking stoned out of their brains. Suddenly, a whole onslaught of news reporters and fans hurry over to the car. Next minute, she’s in a dark room, sitting above a big floor fan while Ginuwine walks in and toward her. Then, she’s watching Ginuwine in an off white-colored room through a security monitor.

The scenery jumps to a completely white room where Aaliyah is dancing with some faceless male dancer and ...

      • they’re both decked out in white as well, meanwhile, Ginuwine is watching her on the security monitor now. There’s another dark room scene we jump to where Aaliyah is standing up and singing/dancing in a sexy white bodysuit. The video closes with Aaliyah riding off on a motorcycle with none other than Michael ‘Wacko Jacko’ Jackson’s nephew, Dealz (Jackie Jackson’s son).

This is one of the best Aaliyah videos out there, “One In A MIllion” tops every other single video of her’s

that came before it, including from her first album. “One In A Million” is Aaliyah’s signature song and has a catchy and easily memorable melody to it. This is also the first video where Aaliyah began to show more of her sexy feminine side and less of the tomboy act that she had been putting on throughout most of her previous videos. There’s only a few scenes where her eyes are covered with shades, you would have never guessed that such beautiful eyes had existed behind them.
