Alongside Britney’s famous comeback comes her single “If You Seek Amy”. At first glance of the lyrics, who would ever guess the exact meaning of the song? The song as well as its music video has nothing to do with Amy. However, after dissecting and ‘decrypting’ the lines of the song, fans around the globe were shocked with the perverted message of the song. Although it was kinda unprofessional in the field of song composition, it still creates a new line of creativity

and freedom of expression. Whether it is Britney or not who composed the song, it is still ingeniously made.

The beat is alive and very apt for dancing. The tune as well is another twist from the girly Britney we used to know years ago. She turned her music from gentle and very ‘teenage’ to a bit wild and free from innocence.

The lyrics, when interpreted literally, is seeking for someone who basically might have played an important role in Britney’s life. However, as ...

      • you go deeper into the chorus, some lines may have looked misplaced like ‘are begging to if you seek Amy’. This is the line which fans were confused about. Sources say that the hidden meaning (and what the song really wants to say) is within the line ‘If You Seek Amy’. ‘If’ stands for F. ‘You’ is for U. ‘Seek’ sounded like SK. Lastly, Amy sounds like ‘me’ in the song. When you put up all the capital letters together, the line now
makes sense. Although some may have disliked the song because of its perverted message, the song finally reveals a sexy and sensual Britney. There really is a transition between the Britney of ‘Sometimes’ and the Britney after her bad days.

Lastly, the vocals are very original Britney-style. The old cute voice didn’t change after all these times. Tough and very appealing, although not for a diva quality, her voice is still on the lead in the music industry.

Got confused with Amy? Now, you know.
