Philosphy’s Purity Made Simple facial cleanser is like the universal remote of skin care products: it works with every skin type. Whether you have oily skin, combination skin, dry skin or sensitive skin, chances are this cleanser will work well for you. According to Sephora it is their top seller, and for good reason.

Most of us don’t have time to bother with makeup removers and toners in addition to cleansers, but with Purity Made Simple you will find those extra steps

are unnecessary. It does an impressive job of removing makeup. However, if you wear heavy eyeliner and/or mascara, be prepared to do some extra scrubbing or you may find it works better to preemptively use eye makeup remover. But for everyday, not to heavy makeup, Purity Made Simple will quickly and effectively remove all, leaving you with clean, soft skin. Another great thing about this product is that it does not burn your eyes.

The consistency if this cleanser is milky. If you are used to foaming cleansers, you maybe surprised that it does not foam up very much. It has a very subtle smell - nothing to perfume-y, making it a great choice for those with sensitive skin. This cleanser will not leave your skin feeling dry or like an oil slick. It will simply leave your skin soft and clean.

steep for a cleanser, but for a department store quality skin scare product it is actually pretty reasonable. Expect a bottle of this size to last up to 3 or 4 months with once or twice daily use, assuming you use about a dime size amount, which is all it takes.

It works well to keep a bottle in the shower and incorporate it as part of your morning routine. Men, as well as women, will appreciate this product. The

packing is clean and simple, and fragrance, as I mentioned, subtle, so it isn’t too girly. Philosophy also sells a travel size version which is great for trips, especially when you don’t want to pack an extensive skin care regimen. This cleanser works well all year round, in the humidity of the summer to the moisture-sapping cold in winter. As someone with oily skin, I have found it does not cause any breakouts and isn’t nearly as harsh as products geared towards acne.
