I bought the Leather Bonnie Boots from Urban Outfitters because I needed a sturdy pair of winter boots that I could get around in the snow in but still looked very fashionable. The Bonnie boots were perfect fort he job and they were a good bargain at just under four hundred dollars. Honestly, once I saw the boots I had to have them as you don’t usually find such rich colored boots that are made to withstand the harsh winter months.

The Bonnie boots by Urban Outfitters are tall leather boots made to be a kickback to the popular equestrian riding style that has been extremely popular this year. These are actually very authentic looking because they have a naturally distressed look making them seem like they are really meant to be real country riding boots. The leather

of the riding boots is a distressed burgundy color that looks like a super rich brown, but rich and super soft. The leather almost feels like butter it is so rich.

The boot shaft is a flat front and reaches all the way up to the base of my knees, There is no detailing or embellishment to the shaft of the boot and this works because of the distressed look of the leather. I actually like small details on my boots, but in this case I think the fact that this boot hasn’t been messed with and buckles, ruching, and embroidery weren’t added was a plus. The soft leather isn’t a hard shell that stands straight up stiff, but it isn’t so soft that it flops over either.

The bottom of the boot has a ...

      • saddle top which gives the boot a little structure and character. A slim leather strap and small buckle connecting the strap to the bottom of the boot and another strap around the back are all the detailing it has. This small detail are what gives the boots the feel of a real work boot. What I love the most about the boots are the heel. The heel is barely a half inch high which makes it perfect for running around the city after a snowstorm, but because the boot itself is so beautiful they still look great.

As for how the boots felt after wearing them I leave my place for twelve hours days on a normal basis and sixteen hour days at least twice a weekend. The first couple days I had to break

in the boots, so I don’t count my comfort level in my review. After my feet got used to the fit of the boots, I was in heaven. They were really comfortable from the beginning, and after I got used to them it was even better. I felt comfortable enough to run around the city on even the iciest days without having to think twice about my footing. I can live in these boots, and most days I do.

These are awesome boots not only for winter, but for the entire year when you need a good tall boot to complete your outfit. I am actually thinking of trying to find another pair of these boots so that I will have a pair for next year when these begin to show more wear and tear than I like.
