I liked my visit to the Lake Anna Nuclear Info. Center in Mineral Virginia so much that I have brought many vistors to see this landmark. This is part of Dominion Virginia Power’s effort to educate the public about the use of nuclear power.

This info center is located in a grassy area about half a mile

from Virginia 652 (Kentucky Springs Road) in Louisa County Virginia.

This center has several exhibits set up for children. It has a bicycle set up to see how much electrical energy you are providing when you pedal. It also has exhibits set up for the natural ecosystem with different animal and fur exhbits for animals native to the ...

      • region.

This area also shows an exhibit which has an example of how nuclear fission and fusion is provided. It shows how the power is produced and how the cooling rods are used to cool down the nuclear fission rods. It also shows how the creation of the Lake (Lake Anna is a man made lake) contributes

to the set up and maintenance of the nucelar power plant.

There is also a short film that is shown about the area. This is a vistor center that is worth visiting if you are in the Lake Anna Virginia area or plan to visit soon. I would recommend the North Anna Vistor Center and Nucelar Info. Center.
