What have you been doing lately? This is the last line from the movie “Wanted” starring Morgan Freeman, Angelina Jolie and James Mc Avoy.

James Mc Avoy plays the role of Wesley Gibson, an Account Manager in some company. He thinks of himself as a loser who is struggling to fight his anxiety attacks. However his world changes when Fox (Angelina Jolie) saves his life from an assassin. He is introduced by Jolie to a world that he barely knew, a world too far out from the one he used to live: living in an apartment near

the railway transit, working as an account manager and having a bossy fat woman for a superior, and dealing with the fact that his girlfriend sleeps with his bestfriend.

He is introduced in the world of the assassins called “The Fraternity” under the leadership of “Sloan”. He is told that his life is in danger as one of the deflected members of “The Fraternity” haunts him down so he could kill him as he killed his father. He undergoes torturous training and successfully passes all.

However, in an unexpected twist of fate he finds out the ...

      • truth from the person he is supposed to kill. He decides to use all that he has learned from “The Fraternity” to his advantage and at the end emerges victoriously.

This movie is full of suspense and is so fun to watch as we witness the transformation of a geek to a topnotch assassin. Like the roles she has played, Jolie is again remarkable. The acting of Mc Avoy is also noteworthy. Some parts of the movie may be a little too graphic and would not be recommended for children of very young ages to work.

personally liked the movie because Mc Avoy plays the role of someone who was unsure of his purpose in this world until he was equipped enough to become one great assassin. It is also noteworthy that the movie highlighted a very popular trait that is sometimes misused by scheming people: Trust.

At the end of the movie, watchers will begin to wonder what fate really is. Is it a fiction of our imagination, a product of our creativity or is it something that is there and that needs to be followed in order for balance to be maintained?
