  • The characters are really interesting and hilarious
  • I find Matsui very annoying at the start as not only did he cheat on Hirose, he even commented line that he'd prefer a girl's chest rather than a boy's genital but at the middle where he said that seeing Hirose happy makes him happy definitely touched my heart
  • After reading this manga, I really would want to recommend this to anybody who is looking for an unusual touchy manga

Waltz with a Black Cat isn’t the usual yaoi manga where the manga is focused on the love making scenes. Made by Homerun Ken, the manga maybe yaoi but certainly worthy of reading because of the mixed genres- comedy, drama, and romance that blends well together.

Hirose throws a book on his boyfriend Matsui and hits him on the forehead. Matsui has cheated on him again no matter how hard he tried to keep an eye on him. Hirose goes alone and cries at

a nearby shrine and curses Matsui for being unfaithful. The next day, he goes to Matsui’s apartment and encounters this black cat with the same scar as Matsui. On the other hand, Matsui seems to be missing. Hirose throws up a conclusion that the cat is Matsui and finds a way to reverse the curse.

I find this manga very entertaining because it started with some drama-tragedy and gave a real funny continuation. The characters are really interesting and hilarious. The mangaka made it more ...

      • interesting by putting an animal-a cat which expressed Hirose’s feminine side more. Hirose’s femininity isn’t disturbing nor disgusting but I find it sweet and touching. He still cares for his boyfriend even though he cheated on him and said awful things. I find Matsui very annoying at the start as not only did he cheat on Hirose, he even commented line that he’d prefer a girl’s chest rather than a boy’s genital but at the middle where he said that seeing Hirose happy makes
him happy definitely touched my heart. Showing such expressions for a boy isn’t that common, especially if it’s toward another boy too but Matsui still did it.

The manga may not be the usual girl-boy romance but it shows that even though both are boys, they still can love and appreciate each other. After reading this manga, I really would want to recommend this to anybody who is looking for an unusual touchy manga. You’ll be laughing a lot on this manga, definitely worth reading.
