Bubble” is directed by Stephen Soderbergh. Soderbergh is the brillian mind behind such films as “Sex, Lies and Videotapes” and “Traffic”. Whats sad about this is that “Bubble” Is terrible. I’m not sure how a great director can go from hollywood blockbusters to bombing a independent film like this one.

Bubble” was filmed on a budget of

1.6Million dollars. The film was completley improved and was based on or around key lines. One thing that really makes the movie horrible is that none of these people are actors or improv artists. They found actors and actresses basically off the street. (I don’t really mind that gives it a Italian NeoRealism feel). So you can tell that the they are ...

      • really trying to be funny or keep conversations going.

The film revolves around 4 people who work at a doll factory. one of the girls is a new girl in the factory. Ultimatley it turns into a muder mystery. The problem with that is once the murder happens you as the audience already knows what is going

on and who killed who. Another problem is that this film is a mumblecore film. It’s hard to blend those two genres of film (MumbleCore and Murder Mystery).

Ultimately the film lacks, alot and there is really nothing that makes up for it. If you wanna take a chance on this film, go ahead. Personally I can’t reccommend it to anyone.
