  • Five months ago, I had to change my phone service and since I did not want to tie myself down with a long-term contract, I decided to sign-up with Koodo Mobile
  • I find that their rate plans are very interesting and that goes for basic rate plans and the ones you can customize according to your needs
  • I must say that I am disappointed with this and I really wish they would do something about it
  • There are only a handful of selections to choose from and frankly, I don't think any of them compare to all the other phones that are being sold by other carriers nowadays
  • I believe that customers consider low prices most of the time but there is also the aesthetic side that many go for

      Five months ago, I had to change my phone service and since I did not want to tie myself down with a long-term contract, I decided to sign-up with Koodo Mobile. Now, my opinion is split in two when it comes to this cellular phone carrier, and the reason for it is as follows: First, I like their prices. I find that their rate plans are very interesting and that goes for basic rate plans and the ones you can customize according to your needs. Second, I do not have to pay for the system access fees. But what I think as a most interesting concept is that when you purchase

      your phone, you can put it on your tab and ten percent of everything you pay through your invoice goes to the payment of your device. Of course, if you decide to cancel your service, you will have to pay the balance with your last statement. These are all great points about signing up with them.

      As for the less attractive side of this carrier: they encourage you to conduct your business with them online; that is free of charge. However, if you call their customer service and have a rate plan or feature modified, then you are billed for this particular service. Personally, I do not believe that I should be charged for this ...


      • and that is one of the reasons why I have been trying for the longest time to add features on my own. Needless to say, I have not been able to do it thus far. I have e-mailed their customer service and have received prompt replies; yet, the answers are generic and I do not think they really read the messages to understand the nature of your request. I must say that I am disappointed with this and I really wish they would do something about it. Another point that really needs improvement is their cell phone selections. I understand that we get to save money with them, but can they not

        I think Koodo Mobile should revise their customer service procedures and their marketing strategy. I believe that customers consider low prices most of the time but there is also the aesthetic side that many go for. Unless Koodo comes up with better and more attractive phones in the near future, I am not convinced that they will be able to keep their client base or increase it as fast as the others. And that can only hurt their business.

    How many tabs can you run on a koodo account? When activating we were told we could have 6 phones on the account. Does this mean 6 tabs?

    Yes, you can have 6 tabs. The tabs are essentially another method of referring to the phones on your account.

    Concern over privacy and security issues for users of koodo phone service - WHAT`S YOUR TAKE ON THIS? Koodo customer services are con artists and a bunch of lairs. I would not recommend them to anyone and i would not buy koodo plans or services from them.They are kinked with telus so i do not know if anyone had good service or not with telus service. My complaint was that I bought a phone which kept dropping calls right from day one. After months of calling the customer services to fix the problem they couldn`t fix it so last decemeber i was told to send the phone back and i would get a `loaner phone`. I got the loaner phone which had the previous person`s personal details,contact names, pictures and personal information which anyone could access through this phone. I called CS and told them that they were in breech of the public,safety, security protocl and they have broken the privacy issues and secruity of the person by giving me a phone with her details instead of the being wiped out first. After much talk about this which they agreed that this should not have happenedand were willing to compensate me if I kept quiet about the breech with the following . I go to the koodo kiosk and get another phone with a credit of 150 towards it (if it`s more than i pay the difference), my current tab on my non-working phone would be wiped out and that as such when my fixed phone is returned from them, it is mine and free and clear. So I went and got a phone of 150 with a credit on file to use however this month i get a bill from them and i checked it with customer services and i had the most awful bad shoddy rep ever who denied anything like that was ever discussed and that he said the 150 debit is on my tab and owe it. So what they said they would do, didn`t happen, hence why i am send this comment to make you aware that koodo do not care about you or your privicy and secruity issue. you name and your photos could be available to anyone at any time.. beware

    In April I purchased a Samsung phone and a Koodo provider. In April I had the phone back because I could not text with it. Then again in May I had to take it back. June followed right along with having to be back all for the same problem. Now August I went to text and yes your right it won’t work. The number Best Buy gave me for support wasn’t working. What can be done to finally make me a happy camper?
