  • We had the best time of our lives from the moment we got off of the plane in Florida
  • There are photographers waiting to take your picture and I definitely recommend getting those shots for later reminiscence
  • Also, get to the character photo sessions early to avoid standing in a never ending line that just seems to morph from out of nowhere
  • My recommedation is using the discount travel websites for the reservations, but definitely go to the disney cruise website and request the free promotional dvd

I took my family on the Disney Cruise Line, aboard the Disney Wonder during the Christmas holiday. We had the best time of our lives from the moment we got off of the plane in Florida. Disney provides a shuttle bus to transport quests from the airport to the port of departure. On the shuttle bus you are prepared for the funfilled days that lie ahead via televised videos of excursions and ship accomodations.

Once you arrive at the port your are ushered into a huge, vividly painted, disney themed area, where you can receive assistance with last minute paperwork. This also where you pick up your ship cards and register children for the age appropriate clubs. After this necessary process you are on your way to cruisin fun! Upon embarking on the ship you notice the grand red carpet and immediately realize that you will be treated like royalty on

      this wonderful adventure.

There are photographers waiting to take your picture and I definitely recommend getting those shots for later reminiscence. Immediately followed by the roar of clapping by the ships crew as you hear your name annouced over the overhead speaker, “Disney Cruise Ship would like to welcome the Jones family!”. Believe me, that part is really cool.

The ship itself is adorned with gleeming brass, magnificent chandeliers, and stained wood…it is classic. After you get over the sheer beauty of the ship, its off the the buffet! There is so much food available at each and every buffet on the ship that you can get full just looking at it all. Everything that you can imagine and somethings that you can’t, is all there for you to taste and enjoy.

I now understand why people have told me that you gain weight when you take a cruise.

      • Don’t worry though if you eat to much, there is plenty of opportunities for exercise. Just walking around the hugh ship can help you lose any excess pounds that you may acquire while sampling all of the delightful foods.

Then there are the exciting excursions at all of the “ports of call” these are the destinations on the iternary for the ship to drop anchor. There’s everything from scuba diving, snorkling, and biking to shopping, restaurants, and working on that glowing tan. Spend the days at sea enjoy all of the ships ammenities such as: night clubs, broadway type shows, new release movies, ship games, spas, pools, parties, contests, and more.

“What about the kids?”, you ask…well there’s fun for them too, this is a Disney Cruise! The kids can spend the day at age appropriate clubs playing themed games, participating in staged plays, making arts and crafts, contests, video games,

disney movies, and meeting all of the Disney characters. There’s so much to do that you just can’t fit it all into one trip. My suggestions for this cruise is to make sure you keep your “Navigator” handy, this is your guide to all of the ships happenings.

Plan the next days events, that are at specific times, the night before (if you don’t pass out from the day’s activities). Also, get to the character photo sessions early to avoid standing in a never ending line that just seems to morph from out of nowhere. For reservations, log onto disneycruise.

com or visit your favorite discount travel website and key word disney cruise. You can get a bundle package that includes airfare, ground transportation, and tickets at one low price. My recommedation is using the discount travel websites for the reservations, but definitely go to the disney cruise website and request the free promotional dvd.
