  • Boracay is one of the best beach resort in the Philippines
  • I recommend though that you take an aircraft, since it is much comfortable and the ticket is not that expensive
  • There are locals in the beach which will offer you ride/tour/activity/accomodation packages, so I suggest that you haggle to get the best deal

Boracay is one of the best beach resort in the Philippines. It’s a small island, 4 kilometers long, found in the province of Aklan. To go there, you may take a bus and then a ferryboat, which normally takes half a days worth of travel.

I recommend though that you take an aircraft, since it is much comfortable and the ticket is not that expensive. Travel through air is just an hour.

Most major airlines in the Philippines have flights everyday to Caticlan, a small town in Aklan. From there you will need to

take a 20 minute boat ride to the island of boracay.

The island does not have an airport so you will really need to take the 20 minute boat ride. If you are into beautiful beach and sunsets, then I recommend you to visit this place.

The sand is very white and powdery and the water is very clean. There are a lot of inns, apartels and hotels in the shorelines so you can always choose the best and the most affordable place to stay, even if you have not made any reservations online.

      • There are alot of things that you can do in Boracay. I personally have tried the island tour which takes half a day (15USD), ATV (all terrain Vehicle) ride to the islands highest peak (20USD), 1 hour massage (6 USD), helmet diving (10USD) and parasailing (22 USD).

There are alot of other things that you can do aside from those I have mentioned, like scuba diving and kite surfing. There are a also lot of night activities to you can choose from; disco, acoustic bands, firedancing, videokie, buffet meal on the beach, or just

stroll along the shoreline with a beer.

There are 4 divisions in the island which they call “stations”, the busiest station being Station 2 since it is near the commercial area which they call “D-Mall”. So, if you want lesser people and a more quiet place to stay, you can choose station 3 or 4.

The best time to go there is from January to May, where the March-May being the most crowded months. There are locals in the beach which will offer you ride/tour/activity/accomodation packages, so I suggest that you haggle to get the best deal.
