  • Having seen him judge Britain's got Talent, I don't think he's anywhere near as rude as he is on American Idol, and he's genuinely interested in finding people with a talent, whether it be singing, dancing, acting or even stand up comedy

A lot of people absolutely hate Simon Cowell for what they perceive to be his arrogance and crassness. However, I don’t believe the man is quite as horrible as so many people think he is.

Underneath that tough exterior is a man who gives a lot of money to charity, and at times shows his true feelings as

a man, not a judge on American Idol, or Britain’s got Talent. Having seen him judge Britain’s got Talent, I don’t think he’s anywhere near as rude as he is on American Idol, and he’s genuinely interested in finding people with a talent, whether it be singing, dancing, acting or even stand up comedy.

      What many people don’t ...

      • seem to understand is that, as a judge on any of these shows, Simon has a duty to do just that, and if he thinks someone is terrible, then he has to tell them so. He can’t falsely get people’s hopes up only to have them dashed, and he wouldn’t do that to anyone.

        I have seen him

cringe as a contestant comes out on stage to audition, only to be absolutely amazed as they open their mouth to sing, or start to dance. He is a real human being, and he does have a heart. He just doesn’t have a filter when it comes to telling people what he thinks of their so called ‘talent’.
