I went on a free excursion in Paphos, Cyprus called the Free Blanket Trip. This trip involves a visit to a health therapeutic presentation at a showroom belonging to PAL Promotions (Produce of Authentic Lambswool)and after an excursion sight seeing to a destination within the surrounding area of Paphos. This will either be to Limassol, Phiti Weaving Village, Wine Tasting in Strombi, Latchi Harbor, Ayios Georgios (another town area), Aphrodite’s Rock and a Pottery Demonstration or to a monastery called Ayios Neophytos. You have to choose which one you would like to do and then a time and date will be given to you on your ticket.

The presentation lasts for 25 minutes, which involves a Speaker showing you how the health therapeutic products are supposed to help with your health. I thought that they were brilliant products, which are pillows, mattresses, blankets, underlay for mattresses and other smaller things such as slippers, boots, dressing gowns and aloe vera products. The slippers are brilliant, because they help with blood circulation problems keeping the feet at an even temperature.

They introduce tourists to this trip by attending Welcome meetings with Thomas Cook, Thomson, First Choice and Mercury Direct at all hotels in Cyprus. Tourists can book the trip, whilst they are at their Welcome meeting.

      • The PAL Rep who attends the meeting books the tourist on the trip by confirming numbers for seats on their coach tour and then gives a ticket to each family or group.

When I went on this trip I chose to go wine tasting in Strombi. It was very good, as I was able to try all of the wines that they made there at the vineyard and then if you wanted to you could buy a bottle or two. I bought a couple of bottles myself. I, also, bought a box set of two creams made by Aloe Vera Vita Health at the showroom. There

is one tub of body and hand cream that helps to keep skin soft and another tub of foot gel for tired feet.

Overall, I thought that this excursion was brilliant, because it was free and you got to see a lot of culture surrounding Paphos area that you would not normally see on any other excursions with your holiday representative. The places that they take you to in Cyprus are unique and you do not have to spend a penny if you do not want to. The blanket trip is now well known in other countries like Orlando and Miami in Florida, Tenerife, Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Egypt, Malta, Cyprus and Mexico.
