Crowne Plaza Hotel Atlanta Airport, 1325 Virginia Ave., Atlanta, GA 30344
  • This is right near the airport, so if you are traveling by plane, it's convenient, if you are tired and want to just find a nice place to stay after a long flight
  • The food was extremely delicious, just excellent
  • Decent hotels are always going to cost a little more than average in Atlanta, but we feel we got our money's worth at the Crown Plaza
  • It was a pleasurable stay for us and The Crowne Plaza is a hotel I would recommend to anybody looking to visit Atlanta for a few days

I stayed at the Crown Plaza Hotel/Atlanta Airport when my husband and I attended a teacher’s workshop. This is right near the airport, so if you are traveling by plane, it’s convenient, if you are tired and want to just find a nice place to stay after a long flight. They have free transportation to and from the airport, so that is even more convenient.

It’s close to downtown Atlanta and to just about anyplace you want to go in the area. If you are

driving there, you get complimentary parking as a guest of the hotel.

Non-smoking rooms are available, which we got, and, if you want to bring your pet along, pets are allowed (within reason. ) Our room was attractive and comfortable, nice decor, relaxing and a nice size.

The bathroom was average size, but very clean and well-kept, with the usual little toiletries. They have a coffeemaker and iron and ironing board for convenience.

There was a bellman to take our bags up to the room, a newstand ...

      • and gift shop and one restaurant on the premises. There was room service available, which we ordered, because we were so jaded after all the meetings we had to attend that we just wanted a quiet dinner in our room at night.

The food was extremely delicious, just excellent. The service was exceptional, with everyone from the front desk person to the bellman to the room service person being very courteous and helpful, really making an effort to make certain we were pleased with everything.

/> They have a 24-hour lounge, if you are just one of those folks who just wants to stay up for awhile. Non-smoking kingsize rooms, like we had, are $171.

99 per night and rooms can go as high as $209 per night. Decent hotels are always going to cost a little more than average in Atlanta, but we feel we got our money’s worth at the Crown Plaza.

It was a pleasurable stay for us and The Crowne Plaza is a hotel I would recommend to anybody looking to visit Atlanta for a few days.
