This was another good week on Dancing with the Stars. It’s a fairly competent cast and for the first time there isn’t just one runaway couple, but a few teams that are truly in contention to win the big ball.

This week the stars danced either the Argentine Tango or the Lindy Hop, so the dances were either very dramatic and intense or fun and vibrant. From watching the dances and the judges, I felt like Shawn Johnson didn’t quite get the numbers she deserved. She had respectable numbers, but she was shortchanged a tad. I also felt like Steve Wozniak, who certainly was one of the ones who would go next,

got lower marks than he deserved. The judges were on a mission to get him off the show, if they could.

For the elimination show, the encore went to Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke. They scored a perfect thirty, the first of the season, during the dance show. Thus, having them do the encore was expected.

There were a couple of entertainment highlights worth mentioning during the elimination show. One was a wonderful ballroom dance sequence that was choreographed by Louis Van Amstel. It was just beautifully done. Then the one-time boys band showed that growing up doesn’t mean becoming cheesy. Boyz to Men sang, and they were awesome.

      • Their group name has truly shown their progression over the years. They have become men, and they’ve kept their integrity and musicality.

Tonight’s show was a double elimination and as such, they didn’t have a dance off. I’m not sure why. It seems to me that they still should have had the three couples dance and then voted off the bottom two. It doesn’t seem fair to have a dance off for two weeks and then skip it because two teams are getting the axe. It’s not like they don’t have the time to do it.

The bottom three celebrities were Steve-O, Holly Madison, and Steve Wozniak. Not a big surprise,

the two voted off were Holly and Steve. What was fun was that the two couples did a group dance for the last bit, and that was nice to watch.

One final comment. Samantha Harris was sick, so why is she there, passing on her germs to everyone in a cast that has already had enough injuries to last two seasons? On top of which, she could barely speak, which means that we, the viewers, have to listen to her croak out comments. Let her stay home. I’m sure Mario Lopez or one of the ex-celebrities would be available. After two nights of her sickness, I was just very irked by her presence.
