Season four of MacGyver began with a new opening. It’s basically the same style and sound, just tweaked slightly and new clips interspersed in the old. There’s plenty more of the longer haired Mac in this show. While I prefer the original, I’ll take the revamped over having to listen to Teri

Hatcher as Penny Parker. It’s pretty much a tie between the Penny and Jack Dalton characters as which one annoys me the most. To top it off, this is a Halloween show, the episode airing on Halloween in 1988.

Gisele MacKenzie had a guest role in this episode in which Penny Parker inherits a ...

      • house in which her aunt used to live before she disappeared. The aunt was supposedly insane, and Penny looks just like her. It’s a ghoulish show, just for the trick or treaters.

Mac keeps insisting there are no such things as ghosts, but that’s left to the viewer to decide.

        This is an okay episode

and is appropriately spooky for a Halloween show. The show employs some forensics which was interesting. This happens when Mac reconstructs the face of a skeleton using clay. It’s a real technique. I’m not sure it can actually be done as quick as we see it here, but it’s neat to have it included.
