Oh how I wish MacGyver: Dalton, Jack of Spies had just never been done. When we last saw Jack Dalton, he was flying away to his heroic death. Mac had that warm look of friendship on his face as he watched. Now, though, Jack is back, and he’s supposedly dead. Mac goes to

the funeral and stands over the open casket, saying his good-byes and recalling this last meeting. Several flashbacks are seen from that episode. Only then Mac realizes Jack Dalton is very much alive. He’s angry, but it only takes a minute for him to get involved in Dalton’s latest problem.

      Thus, here we go again.

      • While Bruce McGill is very talented, I just hate this character. Jack Dalton should hook up with Penny Parker. They deserve each other and could have a nice lifetime of confusing each other instead of getting MacGyver involved in their ongoing shenanigans.

This is a big spy caper with secret packages and agents everywhere.

Who’s who? is often the question. It bores me.

There’s a decent background guest cast in MacGyver: Dalton, Jack of Spies that includes Lee Purcell, Alan Fudge, and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, but they can’t save this show for me. It becomes a chase show and even with Mac on a sidecar, it’s not enough to keep me interested.
