  • It has some good spots, but Curtis isn't someone I enjoy watching, so that detracts a bit for me
  • In this case, I definitely liked the gambit in MacGyver

MacGyver: The Gauntlet is another episode with lots of action in it. MacGyver is once again sent overseas, to South America, to rescue a photographer, played by Robin Curtis. She’s got the goods on a couple of bad guys, and they know it. Hence, the big chase that occurs through most of the

      episode.

It has a cute ending that some might called picture perfect, especially with the smiling Richard Dean Anderson. There’s also the hint of a love affair between the two and the obligatory kiss when they think they might die. It’s pretty much standard MacGyver fare there.

The opening gambit was a hoot. It’s one where MacGyver goes sledding down the sand dunes and then makes his big exit in a huge, colorful hot air balloon. It gets shot at and

he ends up using the thing he went after (a map) to patch it. He has a great line — “It just goes to show ya, a map will always get you where you want to go.” In this case, I definitely liked the gambit in MacGyver: The Gauntlet better than the actual show itself.
