Stargate SG-1: Arthur’s Mantle is a good episode that has some nice moments in it. While working on an experiment, Sam and Mitchell are thrust into a different phase where no one else can see or hear them. Sam theorizes that Daniel should be able to see them because of what he went through in season three’s Crystal Skull,

      but it doesn’t happen.

There are great bits when Doctor Lee tries to figure out what happens, and a really funny moment when he thinks the two teammates have been miniaturized. The one thing is uncharacteristic is that Daniel sounds more like Jack here. He’s snarky and it’s like he’s making fun of Lee. Now, I’m not a fan ...

      • the Lee character, but it’s not like Daniel to be like this. This is another sign of the direction the character is taking that is inappropriate. It’s more Michael Shanks, than it is Daniel Jackson. Huge, huge mistake to go that route.

Eventually in the show, Daniel and Sam end up working together, and that’s fun. Their

scenes in this show are delightful and just makes the viewer wish for more. The show in seasons 9 and 10 should have revolved around these two, but the more time passed, the rarer their scenes were together. It’s a tragedy for the series that Daniel and Sam were essentially torn apart.

Overall, good show, but not without some issues.
