      • 2 cups 11. Salt as per taste.

        Method:

        1. Soak chana dal for half an hour in water.

        2. Take pan and add oil. Let it heat up.

        3. Add mustards, chopped onion, garlic

        ,curry leaves and red chilly.

        4. Let it fry till onion turned brown.

        5. Add chana dal and grated coconut.

        6. Add salt and turmeric powder and 1 cup water.

        7. Let it cook on low flame.

        8. When it is half boiled add remaining water and cook it till done.

        9. Serve with roti or plain rice and rasam.
