  • While it did not contain my favourite Discworld characters, (Commander Vimes and the Watch, Death), it had witches and wizards galore
  • I have always found Terry Pratchett's views on equality between the genders interesting, as this comes up in Equal Rites quite a bit - a girl is born with wizard powers
  • This also comes up in Monstrous Regiment and a bit in Wee Free Men, and always seems to come to the conclusion that girls are definitely able to handle anything boys can do
