“Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow” was an epic addition to the Trinity Blood saga. This is really the only fluff episode I have ever seen on Trinity Blood and a very fitting fifth episode to boot.

Father Abel Nightroad and Sister Esther Blanchet arrive in Rome to find Sister Esther an new role in

      the Vatican.

Quickly, humor ensures when Father Abel proves not only that he is bad with money, but also forgetful of his Identification card for the Vatican priesthood entrance.

Luckily, Sister Noelle comes to their rescue, mainly to Sister Esther’s embarrassment at Father Abel.

A quick tour ensures and Sister Esther meets Lady ...

      • Catherina who gives her a big welcome as the newest member of AX, the Vatican Special Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Later on, Sister Esther gets lost and finds herself talking to a young crying boy in an garden porticos turn shed, who ends up being the pope.

After giving the boy a speech

about how one must not dwell on sad things and that his brother loves him, she finds out he was the pope after dragging him half way around the court yard.

In the end, I think we all need some episodes like this to tone down the constant fighting of the other episodes.
