When our children were younger, we often had a hard time preventing them from messing with our computer. We were afraid that one of them would break it and as computers are not exactly cheap, we certainly did not want this to happen. To remedy this situation, we purchased the Sauder Delux Computer Armoire.
We wanted something that would both protect our computer from the kids and look nice in our living room as well. My husband and I both loved the look of this armoire and although it is fairly large when open, we had room for it. The price was a bit high at a little over $400 but if it meant not replacing the computer, we felt it was worth it.
I must warn you that this particular piece of furniture is quite heavy and each piece comes in two very big boxes weighing over 100lbs each. Therefore, transporting this armoire home is no easy task.
Assembling this desk was
easy enough but the process is very time consuming. It took my husband and I about 6 hours to put this piece of furniture together. We were exhausted when we finally completed the chore. Another thing to keep in mind, when you put this armoire together, be sure to do so as close to where you actually want to place it as possible because it is a very heavy piece of furniture and moving it is quite difficult.
That aside, this is a wonderful armoire with lots of cool features. In the center of the desk is a spot for your computer monitor. This space has an adjustable shelf above it where your printer can be placed and has a light on the underside of the top. On each side are adjustable shelves for your computer tower and speakers.
