  • I found it to be a little confusing at one point and I didn't think it was a work of genius either, but I believe that it was still quite enjoyable
  • In fact, I think that the whole episode was well written, as well as certain things developed properly such as the characters, the plot and script
  • Like a few other people who I'm sure watched that episode, I found that I was fooled many times by the hallucinations

This episode of the X-Files was also one of my most memorable episodes. I found it to be a little confusing at one point and I didn’t think it was a work of genius either, but I believe that it was still quite enjoyable. In fact, I think that the whole episode was well written, as well as certain things developed properly such as the characters,

the plot and script. The episode “Field Trip” was one the 138th episode of “The X-Files” and it was also the 21st episode of the 6th season of the television series.

The introduction of the episode “Field Trip” starts out where a young couple is home from camping in the woods. However, something strange happens to them and their skeletal remains are found in the woods ...

      • some time later. Mulder and Scully are chosen to investigate, especially since and unknown substance was found on the skeletons. At first, Mulder blames it on alien abductions, and the audience at home is led to believe that it probably is too. However, they soon find out when they go to investigate the area that it is actually a giant fungus which is emitting a hallucinogenic substance
which causes the victims to hallucinate and have dreams about thing which they believe are reality.

I liked this episode because it not only played with the minds of the characters in it, but I think it also played with the minds of the viewers as well. Like a few other people who I’m sure watched that episode, I found that I was fooled many times by the hallucinations.
