This was the very first episode of the popular 1990s television series “The X-Files”. I had not gotten to watch this particular episode for years though, however, I managed to be able to watch it recently on a website online. It was the beginning of a very promising show which reminds me a bit of the old television series “The Twilight Zone”, except that the show seemed more suspenseful and interesting to

      me.

This particular episode was about how the whole thing began, and how agent Fox Mulder first met agent Dana Scully. Here agent Dana Scully is a young Medical doctor who first was aware of agent Mulder’s fixation with the paranormal by his reputation and the name he was called by his colleagues. Mulder was then known as “Spooky Mulder” and thus agent Scully being the scientific skeptic was looking on ...

      • their case from a strictly scientific and “everything can be explained by science” point of view.

The case they both were supposed to be investigating occurred outside an Oregon town whereas a few teenagers disappeared because of a so-called alien abduction. Of course, Mulder believes the theory that it is in fact an alien abduction, while Scully takes a more logical point of view to it. However, she begins to have doubts

after the exhumation of one of the victims’ bodies where she finds something unusual and not consistent which any possible explanation she would have for it.

I think many people liked this episode. Some found it scary, but I thought it was just interesting. It was a bit funny also to see a young Gillian Anderson and a young David Duchovny. I would recommend this to X-Files fans as a must watch.
