Goodfellas is a classic mafia film directed by Martin Scorsese, it was originally meant to be titled Wise Guy, the same title as the nonfiction book the film is based on written by Nicholas Pileggi. The film stars Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, and Ray Liotta.

Liotta plays as Henry Hill, the story begins with him

as a young kid growing up in New York, working for Jimmy Conway (De Niro) doing small jobs and getting paid lots of money, his parents forbid him from working for Conway, he sneaks around and works for him anyway.

Soon he is grown, and doing bigger jobs, nothing to serious though, he hasn’t really hurt ...

      • anybody.

He gets married, and is making lots of money, he is surrounding by friends, and then he gets addicted to drugs, his job starts to become violent, and so does his married life, this leads him considering a way out.

The movie is in classic mafia style, including profanity, drug abuse, and extreme violence, not

        recommended for children.

At the time of it’s release I really liked it, it’s not this movies fault the mobster genre became so mobster clone after mobster clone, at the time this was released there weren’t even that many mobster films, only a few, but not too many.

It’s an OK movie, but it is sort of cliche.
