It took me a while to get into sci-fi, superhero films. The only one I’ve really liked is Batman–that is until the X-Men came along.

From the first installment, I was hooked.

I truly enjoyed the storyline, and the fact that the casting was so superbly

      done.

In viewing X-Men 3: The Last Stand, I must say that I was totally captured by the story and the wonderful special effects.

Brett Ratner directed this particular sequel, and did a fabulous job of placing the characters.

Kelsey Grammer as Beast was truly a pleasant suprise.

      His character didn’t have ...

      • to do much physically (one or two fights).

And I’m still not that attached to Storm (Halle Berry’s character).

It seems that Storm is one of the weaker, less fashionable superheros.

Though, in X-Men 3, Storm seemed to assume more of a personality.

Of course, Hugh Jackman steals the show as Wolverine, not to

be overshadowed by a rather sedate looking Jean/Phoenix (Famke Janssen).

This story went a little bit deeper into the history of the characters’ existence–and introduced a lot of other characters with interesting powers.

X-Men 3 really is a delight for the eyes.

The effects are wonderful, and really–each story in this series has been told really well.
