Starring: Victoria Ullmann (Tara Griffen), Christian Behm (Billy), Gerald Griesbaum (Richard Morris)

It’s a bewildering movie I even watched till the end, and I still don’t understand the story.

Tara and Billy were imprisoned in a dark place called the Witch House; a mysterious voice (mechanically distorted) challenging them to find out his identity. Only one of them would leave the place alive. They discovered more injured and dying captives, quickly questioning them in order to find

out their captor’s identity; however these victims died before divulging anything useful. Tara finally worked out the identity of their captor Richard Morris, a boy whom she knew in her childhood days and had cruelly imprisoned in a coffin as a prank. Billy had also recognized Morris as he had stolen Morris’ girlfriend. It seemed that every victim had an altercation with Morris. Now it’s only Tara and Billy who will leave ...

      • the place alive?

The meaningless phrase ‘Eight nails, who fails?’ was repeated so often, that it became annoying. Some scenes were downright ridiculous the slight Tara was able to fight against and overcame the overweight Billy. There were axes and hammers around, why did they not try to escape? And when Tara had escaped to a motel, the first thing she did was read the HP Lovecraft novel wouldn’t it be more sensible

to call the police, or at least clean up and attend to her wounds? Instead she laid on the bed, reading the book; it looked like she was waiting for the killer to turn up, and he did. Who was the masked man/woman on the horse, who appeared suddenly? What was his/her role in the movie? There were so many questions with no answers - this is one of the most disappointing and absurd movies I’ve seen!
