Stargate SG-1: Heroes Part 1 has some great moments in it. The premise is that the SGC is being documented. It’s the one-thousandth trip through the Stargate, and they want history to know how the Stargate has helped to shape and save the future.

      To that end, a film

crew is brought in to interview personnel. There are some difficulties. Jack refuses to be interviewed seriously, and most everyone takes the film crew for humor value only. Daniel has a great scene with a fax machine that documents this. Hammond doesn’t like the idea, either, and ...

      • he’s constantly battling with the film leader, Emmett Bregman.

Bregman interviews Janet, and there’s a bit of sparkage here. It’s intriguing and builds over a break they take together in the commissary.

What I don’t like about the show is SG-13’s recon of the planet. They are SG-1 in the

vintage years, and I really resented that. They are doing what used to be done so beautifully every week, and that made me sad and angry both.

Things take an urgent turn, and SG-1 and Janet head off-world. It’s intense, and makes one wonder what part 2 of Heroes will hold.
