Stargate SG-1: Chimera brings about a lot of surprises for fans of the series. The first one is that Daniel suddenly owns a home. This has come out of nowhere. For seven years, he’d had an apartment and, bam, now he has a house.

The second is that Sam has a boyfriend, a cop from Denver who is in the Springs on a case. She actually

tells him about her Black Widow curse, but he says he’ll risk it. The boyfriend, Pete Shanahan, is played by David Deluise, brother of SG-1 writer/director Peter Deluise. I loved him from the start, and it showed such progress for Sam, having her move on positively after the Grace episode. The two have a great chemistry, and Amanda Tapping has said he’s the best kisser of ...

      • her SG-1 romances.

Another surprise is that there is finally a successful rescue from the world of being a Goa’uld host. Actually, it was the second, but it really feels like the first one.

And then Pete gets the surprise of his life, and that opens the doors to all kind of possibilities for the future. I loved that he takes Sam to a 40’s dance. It was

        so perfect.

Stargate SG-1: Chimera is a great show. Pete Shanahan is a great character and he’s well played by Deluise. The other plot is interesting and has some good moments. I actually love the scene in the commissary with Daniel, Sam, and Teal’c. His head is plopped over on the table and Sam is rubbing his back. It’s just sweet and fun to watch.
